Q: Why don't folders and files look like normal windows folders when I use the FTP?
A: Your settings are not correct in your browser. If you have Internet Explorer, try going to the TOOLS menu, and chooose INTERNET OPTIONS. Go, then, to the
"Advanced" tab on the far right.

If you are using version 5.5, you'll need to be sure the your folder view is enabled:

(You'll know what version you have based on the settings you can choose. Note that Windows ME comes with IE 5.5)

If you are using version 5.0: go to the bottom of the Browsing section and make sure that "Use Web Based FTP" is unchecked.
Then you can hit okay and try accessing the site again (click refresh icon or press F5 key a few times).

Q: I am getting authentication errors and cannot login. What can I try?
A: You might try disabling Passive FTP mode in Internet Explorer. Here's how...

Go to the TOOLS menu, and chooose INTERNET OPTIONS. Go, then, to the "Advanced" tab (in IE 5.5+ the last tab on the right).

Scroll down to the end of the Browsing section and look for a check box labeled "Use Passive FTP."

Be sure to uncheck the box. (If this is already unchecked, skip this FAQ try the one listed below.)

Once you've unchecked the box, Hit "Apply" and then "OK." Try to login to the site now.
